For those of you whose hearing aids are equipped with T-coils, we are happy to introduce you to the MiniCon teleloop system. This new system has been designed to provide hearing aid users optimal TV and radio listening conditions. (If you have experienced the loop system in Rossmoor, the MiniCon is the same concept.)

A teleloop system consists of an amplifier and a discrete wire (the loop) that runs along the perimeter of the room. It is easily installed and is low-cost and compact. The wire can be installed under the structure, under the carpet, or along the baseboards. When the teleloop amplifier is hooked up to an audio source, such as a TV or radio, the sound is received directly by the user’s T-coil equipped hearing aid. There is no need for an additional receiver (headphones, for example). By having the signal sent directly to the ear of the user, the problems of distance, reverberation, and background noise can be eliminated.

We are very excited about this new system and have installed the MiniCon in our office for you to try. For additional information or to set up an appointment to hear how this system can work for you, please call our office. (925) 938-8686
